A glowing arrow flies forth, inflicting 1d6+1 points of damage to any creature it strikes. After the spell is cast, the arrow appears next to the caster and hovers with them until ordered to shoot. When shot, the missile will automatically hit one visible target the caster specifies. Magic missile never misses its target. For every 5 levels of experience of the caster two more missiles are created by the same spell. The missiles may be fired in the same round the spell was cast, or the caster may delay the firing, however, electing to fire the missile(s) at any time counts as the caster's action for a turn. Further, the each missile may be assigned to one or separate targets. |
