Tyn'ahrin are the result of a child born of a union between a devil and a human, elf, or half-elf. Similar to half-elves, the Tyn'ahrin are not a true-breeding race and are therefore just as rare; although a successful conception and birth is an absolute certainty. It is believed that the fiendish blood could damn any future child or descendants to becoming unholy devils. Tyn'ahrin are considered outsiders and are often treated with worse prejudice than half-elves. Credit to their variety of 'inhuman' physical traits. They are a hardy and misunderstood people.
Description
Coming in a variety of physical expressions equally as diverse as any of the other races, although quite more fantastic, the Tyn'ahrin can range from monstrously hideous to eerily beautiful. Curiously, regardless of the race in the material plane that birthed the Tyn'ahrin child, they are all roughly equivalent to human averages in height, weight, and lifespan.
Personality
Tyn'ahrin, despite the prejudice against them, have a wide variety of colorful personalities. Pledging their lives to the righteous cause of the gods of good, to stand against evil. Stepping out into the world as an adventurer to carve out their own place in history, to leave a mark on those they meet. Of course as with everyone, there are plenty of Tyn'ahrin who embrace their infernal heritage, committing themselves to the evil to which they owe their births.
They're difficult to befriend, having been treated harshly as an outsider or even a monster for their entire lives. Outcasts without any kin to whom they can relate. Tyn'ahrin truly have no place in the world. Not unless the seek to make it for themselves. Anyone lucky enough to befriend or even capture the heart of a Tyn'ahrin will be surprised at the depth of relatable expression and genuine connectedness they may find.
Society
With no place to call their own the Tyn'ahrin people will seek out any space that will accommodate them. Some churches will accept a Tyn'ahrin into their ranks as clergy members, clerics or even paladins. Although in a gesture of good faith plenty of the leadership see it as an opportunity to market the idea that "even devil's can be converted with the power of the gods!"
Generally a Tyn'ahrin will try to remain inconspicuous while in a city or town as to avoid any undue trouble. Port cities are usually the safest bet for a Tyn'ahrin to walk freely without too much issue - given the propensity of port cities to have a more friendly attitude towards peoples from various cultures and walks of life.
