	The officially recognized currency is the Silver Flora. ~~The~~ Flora is made of silver and copper alloy and consists of eight segments. Each of these segments, Pétala, can be broken from the core Flora to create smaller denominations of the same currency. This has allowed for Varcia to reduce spreading their currency resources too thin. When the smaller Pétala do eventually make their way back into the government, they are sent to the royal mint to be melted down and reformed into a whole Flora.		The officially recognized currency is the Silver Flora. Weighing in at 27.468 grams (eight pieces weighing a total of 3.4375 grams each), the Flora is made of silver and copper alloy and consists of eight segments. 			For simplicity, coin weight is rounded to the nearest whole number in order to reduce unnecessary bookkeeping. In the real world, 1 pound is equal to 453.6 grams (rounded up). This equates to about 16.5 Flora per 1 pound and . Personally, I believe one should either standardize this number at 16 Flora per pound if you want to be thematic to the divisions of eight, or rounded to 20 Flora per pound in order to have greater simplicity. There is no wrong answer here, really.
